Chris McNamara (Pedal Heaven) adds a hill climb win to his recent run of time trial successes.
A grim morning for all the riders but not for the reason that you might expect. Two slurry lorries kept making return trips on the course both before and during the event, spilling raw sewage all over the road and also holding up some competitors. The stench was appalling and the effect was akin to riding up an open sewer.
