SCA Hill Climb Championship
Richard Cartland returns to defend his senior and veterans titles. Francis Schofield returns to defend his junior title. Last seasons womens winner Gemma Hobson is absent which leaves the way clear for Alice Gilmore this time around. Brighton Mitre CC are the only club with more than two riders so the team title awaits them.

ESCA 100 Mile Championship
This event is also serving as the SCA 100 mile championship since the G100/61 event had to be cancelled due to the long term roadworks at Buck Barn.
33 people have signed up. There are 16 SCA affiliated male riders including the SCA 2013/4/6 winner Steve Kane and the SCA 2015 winner Rupert Robinson There are 3 SCA affiliated female riders. which is encouraging given that this was uncontested for the past two seasons, |

Simon McNamara (South Downs Bikes / Casco Europe) heads the field as he looks to retain the Sussex 25 title (Boniface Cup) that he won last year with a superb 52:00. In form Lisa Davis (trainsharp) heads the womens' contenders this time around.

SCA Hard Riders
The season kicks off with the traditional Hard Riders event: this time on a brand new course GS/195. This is a longer version of its predecessor GS/194 with extra mileage to take it exactly to 25 miles. And the extra mileage is uphill!
And we're definitely hoping for better weather than last year when an extended arctic freeze caused the cancellation of all time trials scheduled for that weekend. |
